Bill Wilson is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer at Townsquare media, a live entertainment development and production company that focuses on developing strategic partnerships with major media and broadcasting entities. Previously, Bill was President of AOL Media for 10 years, where he had overall responsibility for the company’s global content strategy. Under his leadership, AOL’s content sites grew to reach more than 75 million monthly unique visitors domestically and over 150 million worldwide. Prior to joining AOL in 2001, Bill served as Senior Vice President for Worldwide Marketing at Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), where he was responsible for worldwide marketing for the world’s biggest artists, including Christina Aguilera, Dave Matthews Band, Outkast, Whitney Houston, and Santana; he started his career at Arista Records. He won an Emmy for AOL’s Live 8 Program in 2006, and has been featured in a number of publications as one of the nation’s top young executives. Bill graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a bachelor of arts degree in economics and a bachelor of science in business management and earned an MBA with honors in finance and marketing from Rutgers University’s Graduate School of Management.
Anthony Soohoo most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Management of Entertainment at CBS Interactive. In this role, Anthony was responsible for driving the strategy, product, and operations of CBS Interactive’s Entertainment Division, including CBS.com, CBS Audience Network, TV.com, CHOW, Chowhound, UrbanBaby, and CBS Web Original Studios. Before joining CBS Interactive in 2007, Anthony served as cofounder and CEO of Dotspotter, one of the fastest-growing, community-powered, pop culture sites on the web. Prior to founding Dotspotter, Anthony was Vice President and General Manager at Yahoo for various business units. Previously, he was COO of ALWAYSi, a user-generated video startup, and led the company to successful acquisition by Hollywood Media Company (NASDAQ: HOLL). Anthony has also held management positions in product and brand management at Inktomi and Apple Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Davis and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Elise McVeigh, a seasoned media professional, currently serves as Executive Vice President of Ad Sales at Akoo International Inc. Elise has a depth of experience in media, having served on both the agency and the sales side of the business. Before joining Akoo, she held several sales management positions for both Discovery Communications and Lifetime Entertainment Services. Elise began her sales career at ESPN after learning the media business on the agency side spending time in both the planning and national TV buying departments at BBDO. Elise holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Providence College.
Ty Ahmad-Taylor is the founder and CEO of FanFeedr, a real-time personalized sports feed. Before founding FanFeedr, Ty served as Senior Vice President, Strategy and Product Development, at Viacom, where he was the product lead and manager for MTV.com, VH1.com, CMT.com, LogoOnline.com, and other online MTV properties. Ty was also Senior Director of Cross-Platform Applications at Comcast, where he provided strategic planning for Comcast.net. Earlier in his career, Ty was Creative Director of Excite@Home, where he led the company’s creative efforts for broadband, interactive television, and client software. Ty holds a bachelor’s degree from Haverford College and a master’s degree from Columbia.
Jeff Berman currently serves as General Manager for Digital Media at the National Football League. Prior to joining NFL Digital Media, Jeff enjoyed a diverse range of roles, starting in law, politics, and policy, before moving into operational roles at the intersection of media and technology. During his tenure at MySpace, Jeff moved from overseeing policy to launching MySpace Video and building out the marketing and content teams, ultimately assuming responsibility for a several-hundred person team spread across eight offices and generating nine figures in revenue. He has advised big companies on digital strategy and operations and small companies on how to achieve their ambitious goals. Jeff received a JD from Yale Law School and a bachelor of arts from Connecticut College.
As Senior Vice President, Group Director of Entertainment and Content at Digitas, John McCarus leads the development of original and partnered digital brand content offerings across Digitas client teams. Working in partnership with creative, media, and client relationship leaders, John’s team is responsible for digital content strategy development, sourcing digital content creator partnerships and crafting digital brand content offerings to drive business results for high-profile brands including Delta, Kraft, GM, Holiday Inn, Miller Brewing, and American Express.McCarus is also executive producer of The NewFront, an annual online-content marketplace held during Internet Week. Prior to his current role, John served as Vice President of Brand Development for Alliance, an entertainment development and strategic partnership firm. John has also had a highly successful career in magazine publishing with several key posts, including Director of Corporate Advertising Sales for Condé Nast Publications and Associate Publisher at both The New Yorker and Rolling Stone; he was one of the original Publishers of Saveur — an epicurean lifestyle title launched by publishing maverick Chris Meigher in 1995. John holds an MBA in marketing from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management.
